Declutter Fast: It really isn’t that hard
Posted by admin on June 25th, 2009 filed in Uncategorized | Comment now »Whether you’re decluttering at home, or work; it can seem overwhelming. However, by taking a few simple steps, it really doesn’t have to be that daunting, and you could soon be patting yourself on the back for your ability to declutter fast.
The biggest problem for me was where to start! And then, having started one particular chore, I became distracted, and moved onto something else - leaving the job I started unfinished. Having a routine, and a list to work through, solved this problem.
Spending a little time, a day or two before I started on my mission to declutter fast, let me work out exactly what rooms I wanted to clear. It is no good attacking your whole house or office as one job; splitting them into smaller areas immediately made the job seem more achievable.
Next, I created a To Do list and decided what items I wanted to trash, which to store and which I wanted kept. Working through the list, it is amazing the boost I got from being able to cross off that particular troublesome item!
Being able to declutter fast is not hard, it just needs a little planning. And once you have managed it, you’ll feel just great. I certainly do!

Slash Your Electricity Costs with Privacy Window Film
Posted by admin on May 18th, 2009 filed in General | Comment now »Most of us love large glass windows, and glass doors in our homes. The downside of course is the increasing electricity cost from cool air loss. Now adding privacy window film can help in a tremendous way. We can certainly understand that plain windows are beautiful and can add much light, warmth and beauty to your house. But in these difficult economic times, a great tip to save on your air cooling costs in hot climates is to add this specially treated window film. It is estimated that plain glass windows …even if modern, can lose anywhere from 25-75% cooling loss. Treating glass with a layer of frosted, or reflective window film keeps the hot air outside because the sun reflects off of it and doesn’t pass through. Thus if the heat stays out, the energy required to cool your house down by switching on the fans and air conditioners greatly decreases and so does your electricity bill.
One other side note, you can also give a new modern definition to your glass windows and the sliding doors in your house by decorating them with one of many great looking stained glass window non-adhesive films. There are many of us who wish to have privacy, great decor style, and the also the frugal advantages of energy savings of window films. Decorative window films can accomplish all three things at once. Try adding this tip to your decorating toolbox and see the difference it can make in your own home

Posted by admin on May 14th, 2009 filed in General | Comment now »Really there are few things that can exceed the stunning beauty of an old church’s stained glass windows. Taking photos of these settings was the only way the "common person" would be able to enjoy the magnificence of these windows in the past.
Today, there’s a modern equivalent of stained glass windows that is widely available and ready to be installed instantly in your own home. Stained glass window film is a new way to add beauty, privacy, and energy efficiency to your home all in a single afternoon.
This film is an adhesive free overlay that can be applied to your existing windows relatively quickly using only a simple cutting tool and some water. It adheres to the window because of static energy and remains in place for as long as you decide.
Many times, their are more patterns to choose from than you can decide on! I find it helpful to consider your current decor in the room that you are decorating, then try to find the pattern that matches that color scheme. If you do the process in reverse…meaning looking at all the available patterns in the marketplace, everything starts looking the same and it gets confusing.
Besides adding beauty and class to your door sidelights, alley windows, etc. window film can add privacy and energy efficiency. Many of the modern day films can block UV radiation and reflect some of the suns’ heat. The less heat that enters your home, the less you need to run your Air conditioning, thus saving you money.
In summary, while you may not have the money or experience to create a stunning stained glass masterpiece in your own home, you can still enjoy the beauty and style that stained glass provides for much less money. Consider stained glass window film and see if its the right fit for your lifestyle.

Window Film- MakeYour Windows Energy Efficient
Posted by admin on May 14th, 2009 filed in General | Comment now »When many of us hunt for an apartment or a home, we look for a place that has a good number of windows. Windows allow us to let sunshine, light and warmth into our homes, and many of us enjoy being able to light our homes with natural daylight during the day.
However, windows can also cause several issues in a home. There is always the matter of privacy – if you want to let window light in, people will be able to see in as well. Also, one must consider energy efficiency – windows tend to be inefficient and let heat out when it is cold, increasing energy and heating bills.
Windows also can be less than pleasing to the eye if they are poorly designed or if an attractive window treatment has not been installed. Privacy window film can help with all of these concerns. Stained glass window film is easy to apply and gives your windows a stained glass look. They let light in while preserving privacy. Frosted window film does the same thing, and both types also give you energy savings by keeping your house warm and preventing cool air from slipping inside. It’s like having an extra layer of insulation. Any sort of decorative window film will allow you to make your windows more attractive while preserving the light that gets let in – but also by increasing your privacy and upping your home’s energy efficiency.

What to Consider When Looking for Shower Floor Tile
Posted by admin on April 30th, 2009 filed in General | Comment now »In need of shower floor tile? Don’t be so quick to snap up the first one you find. Not all tiles are created equal; and this fact becomes painfully obvious when it comes to shower floor tile.
You see, different floor tiles have different characteristics and the sooner you learn this, the better off your home improvement efforts would be. Some tiles are better suited for the outdoors; some tiles are better used indoors. Other tiles are designed to improve a room’s aesthetic appeal; everything else comes second. In contrast, there are also tiles that have been created with functionality first in mind. These are the kind of shower floor tile you should be using for your bathroom and your shower. These tiles are able to withstand constant dampness and won’t crack as a result.
So the next time you shop for shower floor tile, think before you buy. You don’t want to be stuck with tiles you won’t have much use for. Take the time to check out a tile’s safety ratings and the manufacturer’s specifications. You would not want to end up buying tiles that are pretty to look at but would need replacement 6 months down the line.

Looking for Shower Floor Tile?
Posted by admin on April 21st, 2009 filed in General | Comment now »Looking for shower floor tile? If you’re like most people, you’d most likely pick the cheapest shower floor tile you can find. I don’t blame you. In today’s tough times, who wouldn’t want the best bang for his or her buck? Discount floor tiles are very, very appealing, especially to the homeowner who has to finish the flooring on a tight budget.
Unfortunately, the cheapest tile is not always the best tile for you. Certain tiles have certain characteristics. In your case, some tiles are a no-no for laying in the shower room. You see, not all tiles are low moisture absorbing. If you pick shower floor tiles that absorb too much moisture, you’ll end up with flooring with cracks all over the place. Trust me on that one. I’ve been around tiles long enough to know.
As homeowner (or okay, even renter), it’s your duty to invest in pieces that will do your home and your budget the most justice. Fancier and pricier is not always the investment that’s better. What you need is a shower floor tile that will go the extra mile. In this case, it’s shower floor tile that won’t crack under pressure.
